The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has released several phone recordings of conversations between former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak and others with regards to the 1MDB scandal.<br /><br />MACC chief Latheefa Koya said the commission received the recordings from anonymous sources after the new year.<br /><br />Speaking at a press conference in Putrajaya today, Latheefa said the recordings were revealed to the media as it concerned an issue of public interest.<br /><br />She added that the recordings would be sent to the police for further action.
